Antique Art Deco Engagement Ring 0.65ctw Old Mine Cut Diamond Wedding Ring 14K/10K White Gold Filigree Three Stone Anniversary Ring Sz 6.5!
Here is a beautiful antique engagement ring of a three stone trilogy design with three Old Mine Cut Diamonds that is a rare find! It is difficult enough to find a single Old Mine Cut diamond and here we have three in a beautiful filigree engagement ring from the late Edwardian/early Art Deco period! The center diamond is slightly larger than the outer two measuring approximately 0.25 carats and the other two measure approximately 0.20 carats each for a total diamond weight of approximately 0.65 carats. These diamonds are rare in that they are old mine cut with lovely sparkle especially in the dim light that old cut diamonds are known for. Under 10x loupe magnification we can see a surface abrasive chip on the center and one outer stone and there are dark carbon inclusions to give them an estimated SI2-I clarity range/I-J color. These are very old, hand cut diamonds that face up with a lot of flash and overall antique character! They are all bead set in their individual white gold square "beds" trimmed with worn mil grain with lovely side gallery open work filigree plus foliate detailing on the shoulder area of the 14K white gold mounting. The shank was probably replaced at some time over the decades since it acid tests positive for 10K gold and there was a hairline crack on the side gallery that we had our bench jeweler repair. The setting measures 16 x 7mm with a 4mm rise off the finger and the shoulder shank width is 6mm tapering to 1mm and this ring can be easily sized by a trusted jeweler. What a beautiful engagement or anniversary ring this would make or even a wedding band to accompany a single diamond solitaire!
