Platinum Antique Engagement Ring 0.55ctw H/VVS European Cut Diamond Wedding Ring Art Deco Engagement Ring with Appraisal Size 5!
What a rare, high quality diamond in a beautiful antique engagement ring this is from the Art Deco period!
This gorgeous ring was appraised by an independent GIA Graduate Gemologist and has a Retail Replacement Value of $3,817.00! The Old European Cut Diamond takes center stage as it is set in a platinum square mount with mil grain trim held by four corner prongs. The diamond measures approximately 0.40 carats in the H color/VVS2 clarity range. The diamond has plenty of fire and flash as can be seen in the first picture and of course the mesmerizing flash that is seen in the dim light of the hand photo which is typical of the old cut diamonds when most light was from candlelight or subtle early electricity. There are also six bead set single cut diamonds, three on each side of the center diamond, providing sparkling accent to the setting in a geometric rectangular bed of platinum. The diamond mount measures 6 x 5mm with a 4mm rise off the finger with the entire setting width approximately 20mm. The shoulder width is 2mm tapering to 1mm and the ring is a current size 5 and can easily be sized by a trusted jeweler. Our bench jeweler corrected a slight bend in the shank due to normal wear as well as professionally cleaned and polished the ring so it is ready for wear! This ring is the perfect engagement ring for any woman with its' classic and elegant design as well as the quality of a platinum, half carat sized high quality old cut diamond ring!
