Antique Engagement Ring Old Mine Cut Diamond Navette Filigree Ring 0.86ctw Diamond Wedding Ring 18k White Gold Art Deco Engagement Ring
Here is another fabulous example of the magnificent craftsmanship from the Art Deco period! The ring is a navette style 18K white gold and old cut diamonds representative of the "flapper era" and I can just imagine a woman c1920s all dolled up for the night out on the town with this ring taking center stage on her finger! Just stunning and so feminine! The center old mine cut diamond measures approx. 0.20ct estimated H color/SI clarity range with ten additional smaller diamonds in the 0.05-0.07 carat range for an approximate total diamond weight of 0.86 carats. The center diamond is eye clean and it appears under 10x magnification there has been previous repair/replacement to two of the smaller diamonds and one of the smaller diamonds has a chip on it as well. There is plenty of lovely mil grain detailing and a zig-zag filigree design in the setting which has some separated or broken areas seen in the first photo, including on the under galley which in my opinion does not detract from the beauty of the ring and would be considered normal wear for a ring of this age. An expert jeweler may be able to resolder these areas if desired and this has been taken into consideration with pricing. The setting generously measures 28mm north/south and 15mm east/west with a low comfortable 5mm rise off the finger and the shank shoulder width measures 3mm tapering to 1.25mm. This is a current size 4 and can be resized as desired. This is a beautiful jewelry treasure from the past that will look as amazing on your finger as it did on the original owner's almost 100 years ago!
